Project Overview

E-commerce (electronic commerce) is the activity of electronically buying or selling of products on online services or over the Internet. E-commerce draws on technologies such as mobile commerce, electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems. E-commerce is in turn driven by the technological advances of the semiconductor industry and is the largest sector of the electronics industry.

The purpose of this project is to analyze the US e-commerce from sales records obtained in 2020. It will involve the total sales, sales per mnth, GPM, orders, and categories during that period.

USA office supplies market size was 37.9 billion in 2020. With so many offices closed and teams working from home, the traditional demand for offices supplies has taken a sharp dive. The office supply industry is already in seeming decline, and covid 19 has accentuated this. The industry declined by an average annual rate of 6.7%snice 2016.
