Project Overview

Chicago IL, is the third most populous city in the U.S. Famed for its bold architecture, it has a skyline marked by skyscrapers with an estimated population of 2,705,994. However, the crimes in Chicago Is Higher than US Average. With a violent crime rate of 47%, Chicago has one of the highest violent crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. Becoming a victim of either violent or property crime In the city of Chicago is 1 in 23. Even Within Illinois, more than 95% of the communities have a lower crime rate than Chicago. When compared to the whole state, one’s chance of becoming a victim of violent crime is 1 in 99 in Chicago as compared to 1 in 247 in the state of Illinois. The worst part is that 80% of crimes in Chicago go unsolved. This report is created to analyze Chicago’s Violent and Unsolved Crime Data using Qlik Sense.
